Authorized catering and alcohol for Beckman events

When you book an event through Beckman Space Reservations, please note that Ted’s Café Catering is our preferred catering partner and is granted the first right of refusal for all event catering.

This means the Beckman Space Res team will offer Ted's Café an opportunity to cater your event. The café will have a short window to accept or decline. If the café is not available, you are welcome to bring in another approved vendor (staff will provide a list of other options).

Ted's Café has a longstanding relationship with Beckman and is known for providing high-quality, reliable service that aligns with the institute's event standards. If you have any questions or special catering needs, please contact the café.

Space reservations are granted in priority order

Space reservations are granted as first-come, first-serve, and then in priority order to:

• Beckman research groups hosting events related to their research activities.
• Units hosting events related to Beckman's research areas.
• Off-campus organizations (including Registered Student Organizations) hosting events whose activities are directly related to institute research. They must have a Beckman Institute sponsor.
• Central and campus administrative units hosting events important to the overall campus.
• Off-campus organizations whose events are unrelated to the institute will rarely be granted approval.
