Collaboration travel program

This program provides funding for inter-institute/center travel for staff or trainees to collaborate. Staff or trainees based here in Illinois have to opportunity to travel to the Beckman Research Institute at the City of Hope, the Beckman Institute at the California Institute of Technology, the Beckman Center for Molecular and Genetic Medicine at Stanford Medicine and the Beckman Laser Institute and Medical Clinic at the University of California, Irvine.

Interested researchers should contact Associate Director for Research Cristina Álvarez-Mingote with a 1- to 2-page explanation of the requested travel and collaboration goals with input from both the traveler and the institute or center they will be visiting, a timeline for the travel, a budget and a point of contact for receipt and processing of the grant funds.

Beckman Speaker and Conference Support Fund

This fund provides up to $3,000 to support a seminar, lecture or conference hosted by a Beckman Institute member and featuring an eligible Beckman community member as the invited speaker. For full eligibility requirements and application instructions, visit the foundation's website.
