The Beckman Institute is a community of scholars to foster interdisciplinary collaboration, inspire bold scientific risk-taking and nurture new ideas and discoveries. All BeckmanInstitute community members (faculty, staff, students, postdocs and visitors) are expected to adhere to the Beckman Institute core values and code of conduct.

Code of conduct

Beckman Institute community members have a general duty to conduct themselves in a manner that strengthens the standing of the Beckman Institute and the university.

Regarding professional conduct, those participating in the Beckman community should practice:

Treat others with respect and kindness.

Communicate openly and effectively in a courteous and polite way.

The Beckman Institute Code of Conduct is supplemental to the university’s guidelines for professional conduct.
