The Carle Foundation Hospital – Beckman Institute Postdoctoral Fellow will pursue cutting-edge translational biomedical research with faculty members from Carle Foundation Hospital and the Beckman Institute.
Program summary
- Fellows receive an annual salary of $63,000 and a $25,000 research budget that can be spent on research activities such as supplies, equipment, and conference and workshop travel.
- Fellows are appointed annually for up to three years.
- Fellows are required to write annual reports and attend monthly meetings of all Beckman Institute Postdoctoral Fellows.
Eligibility requirements
- Ph.D. or M.D.-Ph.D. within the last 10 years with specialization in neurocardiology, cognitive neuroscience, or a related field.
- Prior experience with advanced analytical methods and at least one neuroimaging method (EEG/ERPs, fMRI, and/or optical imaging).
- Preferred candidates will have:
- strong programming skills (MATLAB and/or Python);
- previous experience in neurovascular coupling, neurovascular risk factors for cognitive aging, and/or the relationship between heart and brain disease; and
- familiarity with neurocardiology.
