Ted's Café at the Beckman Institue will be closed for Fall Break from Monday, Nov. 24, through Friday, Nov. 28. The café will reopen Monday, Dec. 1.

Need a quick break as the semester wraps up?  Come and see Fergus!

Fergus is a 6 year old male Border Terrier.  He has been certified as a therapy dog with the Alliance for Therapy Dogs since 2023. He has enjoyed being a reading assistance dog at the Urbana Neighborhood Connections Center many times, and has brought his friendly spirit to the Champaign Public Library, the Urbana Free Library, the Autumn Fields Assisted Living facility, Carle Foundation Hospital, and the Unitarian Universalist Church of Urbana-Champaign. He is looking forward eagerly to more visits at the Beckman Institute.

In addition to therapy dog activities, Fergus trains and trials in the sport of canine scent work.
