Thursdays at Twelve-Twenty Concert Series

The Beckman Institute "Thursdays at 12:20 Concert Series" features performances by members of the University of Illinois School of Music. Performances are held in the Beckman Institute Atrium and run from 12:20-12:50 p.m. The Beckman Institute Café is open for lunch during the concerts and features a variety of beverages, entrees, salads, and desserts.

University of Illinois Jazz Quintet: The group—which includes trombone, guitar, piano, bass, and drums— will perform music from the American standard and classic jazz repertoire.
March 15, 2018
Matt Avery Trio: Featuring Matt Avery, trombone; Chris Hartley, guitar; and Andrew Walits, bass, the trio will primarily perform a mix of jazz standards.
April 12, 2018
Chip McNeill Jazz Quartet: Group members include Professor Charles L. “Chip” McNeill, chair of the School of Music’s Jazz Division; Whitney Ashe, piano; Andy Wheelock, drums; and Andrey Goncalves, bass. They will play songs from the Great American Songbook, such as Gershwin, Porter, and Berlin.
