Adam Konopka joins Beckman as faculty affiliate
Adam Konopka, an assistant professor of kinesiology and community health, is a new affiliate faculty member at the Beckman Institute. He will be a member of the Computational Imaging Group within the Integrative Imaging research theme. Konopka is interested in using interventions that modify the biological rate of aging to delay the onset or slow the progression of age-related conditions such as osteoarthritis, skeletal muscle loss, and cardiometabolic disease. By using a translational research approach, his lab identifies mechanisms in tissue culture and animal models and applies this information to human clinical trials.
