Sameh Tawfick, an assistant professor of mechanical science and engineering, has accepted an appointment as a part-time faculty member at the Beckman Institute. Tawfick will continue to be a member of the Autonomous Materials System Research Group, which is within the institute's Molecular Science and Engineering research theme. His research interests are in solid mechanics and materials & nanomechanics and nanomanufacturing.
