In this talk, Dr. Eyo will present largely unpublished work from his diverse research team revealing important roles for microglia in regulating neural development and vascular function that could be of relevance to neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders.
This session will address the features of Individual Development Plans (IDPs) and their use in mentoring graduate students. We will discuss some best practices for the faculty mentor’s role in the IDP process, as well as how IDPs fit into new changes to NSF requirements for funded graduate students. We will also explore a case study about complexities of using IDPs as a part of your mentoring.
