Five Beckman faculty members and one graduate student received honors from The Grainger College of Engineering:

• Qian Chen, materials science and engineering; Girish Choudhary, agricultural and biological engineering; and Diwakar Shukla, chemical and biomolecular engineering, received the 2020 Dean's Award for Excellence in Research for Assistant Professor.
  
• Dallas Trinkle, a professor of materials science and engineering, received the 2020 Collins Award for Innovative Teaching.
• Yang Zhang, nuclear, plasma and radiological engineering, received the 2020 Dean's Award for Excellence in Research for Associate Professor.
• Graduate student Ashish Kulkarni, materials science and engineering, received the 2020 Ross J. Martin Award.
