Adolescent prefrontal cortex studied

Researchers at Illinois, led by psychology professor and Beckman affiliate Janice Juraska, have found that adolescence is a time of remodeling in the prefrontal cortex, a brain structure dedicated to higher functions such as planning and social behaviors.
