Recognizing excellence at Beckman
The Beckman Institute Vision and Spirit Award recognizes a Beckman faculty member who has fostered collaboration in their research and exemplifies founder Arnold Beckman's vision. The recipient is awarded $50,000 to further their research and a commemorative Arnold Beckman bust. The award acknowledges his vision and inspiration to Beckman Institute researchers.

Nominations open for Vision and Spirit Award
Nominate a Beckman faculty member for the Vision and Spirit Award.
The winner will be recognized before the Beckman-Brown Lecture at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, in the Beckman Auditorium.
Beckman faculty member eligibility:
Faculty who have a current Beckman Institute full-time, part-time or affiliate faculty appointment.
Faculty in good standing according to Beckman’s mission, vision and core values: Exellence, collaboration, integrity, transdisciplinarity, exploration and diversity.
Faculty who have demonstrated interdisciplinary collaboration in their research and nurtured new ideas and discoveries at the Beckman Institute.
The nomination deadline is 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7.
Nominations open each fall for this award. Previous Vision and Spirit Award winners review the nominations and make a recommendation to the Beckman director.
