Beckman Institute Vision and Spirit Award

Recognizing excellence at Beckman

The Beckman Institute Vision and Spirit Award recognizes a Beckman faculty member who has fostered collaboration in their research and exemplifies founder Arnold Beckman's vision. The recipient is awarded $50,000 to further their research. Originally presented on April 10 (the anniversary of Arnold Beckman's birth), the award also acknowledges Arnold Beckman's vision and inspiration to Beckman Institute researchers.

  • Nominations open for Vision and Spirit Award

    Nominate a faculty member for the Vision and Spirit Award 5 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2025.

    Eligibility:

    • Faculty who have a current Beckman Institute full-time, part-time, or affiliate faculty appointment
    • Faculty in good standing according to Beckman’s mission and core values
    • Faculty who have demonstrated interdisciplinary collaboration in their research and nurtured new ideas and discoveries at the Beckman Institute
