Nano-biophotonics summer school set for June 1-12

The Nano-Biophotonics Summer School has been set for June 1-12 on the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign campus. The registration deadline is April 15th.

Topics for the summer session are: Principles of Nano-Biophotonics, Technology and methods of investigation, and current research, including biomolecular sensing, nanoprobes, nonlinear microscopy, nanoscopy, and nanoplasmonics. The school will feature leaders in the field of nano-biophotonics from Illinois and across the United States.

The 10-day school will feature four hours of lectures and four hours of laboratory and computing per day. Among the organizers are Beckman Institute faculty members Gabriel Popescu, Stephen Boppart, and Rohit Bhargava. Sponsors are the National Science Foundation, the Network for Computational Nanotechnology, and nanoHub.

Registration deadline is April 15th. Successful applicants will be chosen based on their CV and an essay. They will be notified by May 1st.
