Sarah Geiger is an assistant professor in the Department of Kinesiology and Community Health at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She holds a part-time faculty appointment at Beckman and conducts research in the Brain Connectivity and Networks Group. 

Sarah received her Ph.D. in public health sciences with a focus on epidemiology and biostatistics from the West Virginia University School of Medicine. She received her master’s degree in community health with a focus on epidemiology and biostatistics at UIUC.

As an environmental and chronic disease epidemiologist, Sarah investigates environmental pollutants and chronic disease-related outcomes such as sleep problems, asthma, and obesity. She also studies the impact of environmental pollutant exposure from private domestic well water on children’s health.
