Security Officers are in constant contact with the University of Illinois Police Department and enforce all the rules and regulations set forth by the Beckman Institute and/or the Campus.
Some of the duties/responsibilities the Security office handles are listed below:
- Providing access to the building via iCard access and/or physical keys
- Maintaining the building lost and found
- The office is responsible for the AEDs (Automatic External Defibrillator) located throughout the Beckman Institute
- Assist with office/lab lock-outs during business hours (8:30am - 5:00pm)
7:30 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday
Building access at other times is via University iCard (authorization is required).
Any life-threatening concerns or emergencies should be reported immediately to the University Police Department by calling "911".
