The Beckman Institute has a Security Officer on duty daily (located in the Beckman Administration room 1317).

Security Officers are in constant contact with the University of Illinois Police Department and enforce all the rules and regulations set forth by the Beckman Institute and/or the Campus.

Some of the duties/responsibilities the Security office handles are listed below:

  • Providing access to the building via iCard access and/or physical keys
  • Maintaining the building lost and found
  • The office is responsible for the AEDs (Automatic External Defibrillator) located throughout the Beckman Institute
  • Assist with office/lab lock-outs during business hours (8:30am - 5:00pm)

Building Hours:
7:30 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday
Building access at other times is via University iCard (authorization is required).

Emergency Assistance:
Any life-threatening concerns or emergencies should be reported immediately to the University Police Department by calling "911".
