Ian Rice joins Beckman as research affiliate

Ian Rice, an associate teaching professor of kinesiology and community health, accepted a research affiliate appointment at the Beckman Institute.

Ian Rice, an associate teaching professor of kinesiology and community health, accepted a research affiliate appointment at the Beckman Institute. He will be a member of the Computational Imaging Working Group in the Integrative Imaging Research Theme. Rice is also the Associate Head for Undergraduate Studies in Kinesiology.

At the Beckman Institute, Rice will investigate physical activity interventions for wheelchair users and adapted athletes which seek to optimize for upper limb biomechanics, effort and intensity, and strength and cardiovascular benefits. This effort requires multidisciplinary collaborations with colleagues specializing in computational biomechanics, imaging, and physical medicine.
