Makoto Inoue, an assistant professor in the Department of Comparative Biosciences, has accepted an appointment as an affiliate faculty member at the Beckman Institute. Inoue will be a member of the Neurotechnology for Memory and Cognition Working Group within the Intelligent Systems research theme. Inoue's research is working to elucidate the interaction between immune system and nervous system in autoimmune diseases, infectious diseases, and neurodegenerative diseases.
