Robinson to provide keynote at symposium

Gene Robinson, director of the Institute for Genomic Biology, will provide the keynote address for the 4th Annual Postdoctoral Research Symposium, which will be held at the Beckman Institute on Friday, January 31.

Robinson’s lecture, “The Relationship between Genes and Social Behavior: Lessons from Honey Bee,” will begin at 9 am in the Beckman Auditorium. The public is invited to attend. Robinson is a Beckman affiliate in the Neurotech Group and a professor of entomology at the University of Illinois.

The Postdoctoral Research Symposium highlights the work of postdoctoral scholars and graduate students through talks and posters. The symposium is sponsored by Office of the Chancellor, Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology, the Graduate College, the Institute for Genomic Biology, the College of Engineering, and the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences.
