Douglas Simpson from the Department of Statistics has joined the Beckman Institute as an affiliate faculty member.

Simpson will be a member of the Bioacoustics Research Laboratory research group, which is part of the Biological Intelligence theme at Beckman. Simpson’s research interests include applied and computational statistics and biostatistics, among other areas. His honors include being named as a Fellow of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics and the American Statistical Association.
