Stephanie Ceman has gone from affiliate status to become a part-time faculty member of the NeuroTech group at the Beckman Institute.

Ceman is an Assistant Professor of Cell and Developmental Biology at the University of Illinois who earned her Ph.D. at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Chicago.

Ceman's research looks at the molecular basis of disease, post-translational modifications, regulation of RNA expression, and RNA-protein interactions. Her focus is on the molecular basis of learning and memory by using the fragile X mental retardation protein, FMRP, as a model system.
