Adolescence and the brain

Brain scans have shown that the brain shrinks in volume between adolescence and adulthood, but research at Illinois involving rats has provided the first evidence that some brain cells may not survive the transition, says Beckman affiliate and U. of I. psychology professor Janice Juraska.
