Beckman researchers advance cancer research with two ARPA-H grants totaling $54 million

Beckman researchers Stephen Boppart, Bill King and Rohit Bhargava, in collaboration with the Grainger College of Engineering, have received two ARPA-H grants totaling $54 million for their cancer research studies. One, led by Stephen Boppart and including Rohit Bhargava, will deliver an AI-powered imaging system to identify cancerous tissue in surgery. The second, led by Bill King, will apply digital manufacturing to grow consistent 3D tumor models for drug testing and personalized treatment.
