Todd Coleman, an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, has joined the Beckman Institute as a member of the Artificial Intelligence group.

Coleman earned a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from MIT in 2005. His areas of interests include information theory, communications, operations research, security and information forensics, statistical signal processing, and computational neuroscience.

Colemans research work focuses on modeling dynamic representations between stimuli and neural activity in a canonical way, developing practical information fusion algorithms for mixed-modality, varying time-scale neural signal analysis, and developing new design methodologies and signal processing algorithms for neural interfaces and prosthetics applications.
