Polymers That Self-Protect, Self-Heal, and Self-Destruct

Pioneers in the field of autonomous materials discuss the current state-of-the-art in autonomous polymers that can self-protect, self-report, self-heal, regenerate, and finally trigger their own decomposition for recycling. This research is conducted by the members of the Autonomous Materials Systems group at the Beckman Institute at the University of Illinois.
