The Biomedical Imaging Center is a unit of the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The Center traces its heritage to the Biomedical Magnetic Resonance Laboratory founded at UIUC by Professor Paul Lauterbur, 2003 winner of the Nobel Prize in Medicine.
