Barbey joins Beckman Institute

Aron K. Barbey has joined the Beckman Institute as a member of the Cognitive Neuroscience group. Barbey is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Speech and Hearing Science and the Neuroscience Program at the University of Illinois.

Aron K. Barbey has joined the Beckman Institute as a member of the Cognitive Neuroscience group.

Barbey is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Speech and Hearing Science and the Neuroscience Program at the University of Illinois. He received his Ph.D. in Psychology from Emory University in 2007 and completed a research fellowship in Cognitive Neuroscience at the National Institutes of Health in 2011. 

Barbey’s field of professional interest is cognitive neuroscience, with a focus on the neural mechanisms underlying executive control and their disturbance in psychiatric illness and neurological disease.
