Darren Tanner's research interests lie in sentence processing and psycholinguistics, second language acquisition and bilingualism, and electrophysiological measures of language processing (ERPs). Darren's work primarily investigates grammatical processing and sentence parsing in native and nonnative English speakers, as well as the development of grammatical processing systems in novice second language learners and cross-language interactions in bilingual sentence processing. Darren is additionally interested in individual differences, both in stable language processing and language development. Darren received his Ph.D. in Linguistics from University of Washington in 2011 and was a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Psychology at Pennsylvania State University from 2011-2013.
