LECTURE: "Sculptures Inspired By Physics, Proteins, and People" by Julian Voss-Andreae (1 Hour)

Artist Julian Voss-Andreae discusses his science-inspired sculptures with the Beckman Institute's Klaus Schulten and his Theoretical and Computational Biophysics Group.

Voss-Andreae is a German-born sculptor based in Portland, Oregon. Starting as a painter, Voss-Andreae later studied physics and pursued graduate research in quantum physics. His sculpture, heavily influenced by his background in science, has captured the attention of the news media, and museums and collectors in the U.S. and abroad.

Voss-Andreae's work is also highlighted in a recent Mid-America Emmy Award winning video produced by the Beckman Institute entitled "Sculpting Proteins".
